Join me in shaping a brighter future for our community!
Strong communities are built on strong public works. From the roads we drive to the water we drink and the toilets we flush; Helena’s success depends on reliable infrastructure. I will prioritize taking care of what we have by choosing smart investments that keep our systems safe, efficient, and ready for future generations.
Helena's families, workers, and young people deserve a place they can afford to continue to call home. I will support efforts to create more affordable housing options while protecting the character of our neighborhoods. Growth should strengthen our community and help the residents prosper.
Our community depends on a healthy, well-maintained watershed. The Tenmile Watershed supplies the drinking water for Helena, and taking care of the surrounding lands, including our trail systems and open spaces, is critical to keeping our community strong. Good stewardship of our lands is about safeguarding the resources that Helena relies on every day.
A strong community starts with a strong local economy. I will work to support local small businesses, attract well-paying jobs, and encourage responsible growth that fits Helena's needs. By investing in our community, we can build a future where people can afford to live and work here.
As the former Water Treatment Superintendent for the City of Helena and an avid runner, I value both critical infrastructure and open spaces. We need to take care of what we have. During my time operating Helena’s water treatment plants, I gained a deep understanding of how the city functions. Working in the water department gave me involvement with nearly every department across the city.
Having prepared one of the largest budgets for Helena, I know firsthand what it takes to maintain a thriving, sustainable community. The foundation of every strong community is public works — the roads we drive on, the water we drink, the toilets we flush, and the importance of a functioning garbage disposal system that keeps our neighborhoods clean and healthy.
As the current Executive Director of a nonprofit, Montana Rural Water, I work with communities across Montana and understand the values that make our state so special. I want to bring those values (responsibility, stewardship, and service) to our capital city.
As an avid runner, you can find me enjoying Helena’s second to none trail system, Centennial Trail, or Tenmile Creek Park. Our access to the outdoors is part of what makes Helena such a great place to live, and it is something worth protecting.
Helena deserves leaders who are transparent, approachable, and involved. I am a strong believer in listening, planning ahead, and making decisions that put people first. Excellent leadership is about serving the needs of the community.
